Frequently asked questions
What is included in the price?
The full cost of the camp includes accommodation, food, 4 academic hours of English every work day, as well as extracurricular activities and 24-hour supervision by qualified camp staff.

The price of the day camp includes everything that is included in the price above; except for accommodation (a room with a bed where you can stay overnight is not included).

The tuition fee includes 4 academic hours of English every work day and brunch ("second breakfast") between the classes.
Where do the children live?
Children live in stone houses on the territory of the camp at 59 Dubultu Prospekts. Children are placed in apartments that can have from 1 to 3 rooms, with 3-8 beds.
What about food in the camp?
The full cost of the camp, as well as the cost of the day camp, includes three meals a day plus a second breakfast (brunch). Children eat in the canteen on the territory of the camp.
What do my children do when they are not in English lessons?
After classes, children take part in cultural and sports programmes of the camp (competitions, concerts, contests), as well as attend additional classes (for example, theatre or swimming pool).
What language is spoken in the camp?
The staff at the summer camp talks to kids in English in order to facilitate quick and easy development of language skills not only in the classroom, but also outside of it.

Since the camp is international, children speak English, Latvian and Russian among themselves, helping each other improve their knowledge of the languages they are learning in the process.
Won't our children spend all day on their phones instead of studying?
Summer camp Litera's staff collects students ' phones before going to bed, and only gives them back for a few hours by the evening of the next day so that children can contact their parents.

After that, the phones are gathered again and stored securely by the staff so that children cannot spend more than an hour a day staring at the screens.
Can I visit my children and/or take them away from the camp for the weekend?
On Saturday and Sunday, parents can visit their children at the camp. You cannot take children away for the weekend, except in cases of emergency when you can submit a statement about how long you are taking the child away from the camp.
How long can children stay in the day camp?
Until 21: 00.
